There were three highlights to these two days: going to the football game at Croke Park, going to the ruins at Ardmore and finding Keogh's Cafe.
Going to the game Croke Park was pretty interesting period of course it was raining and we're in the first row in the uncovered section however I had never seen a Gaelic football game and this was really quite exciting. It was Mayo vs Roscommon and Mayo really should have won the game .It's a rough and tumble game and there was lots of action. They worry about concussions in American football. I can't even imagine how many concussions there are in this game. It was exciting and fun and I can't wait to go to my next one.

The next morning I checked out of my hotel and picked up my car at the airport. They gave me this red sports car which is really wasted on me. However on my way down to Cork I stopped at the ruins at Ardmore. This was way Off the Beaten path and I followed many narrow roads through little villages to get there. The village of Ardmore is right on the beach and there were many people enjoying the beach. There was nobody at the ruins which was great period the ruins of the cathedral what part of the Monastery of St Declan and there was a beautiful round Tower that it been there to protect the monks. The round tower was in spectacular condition and the cathedral must have been beautiful it one time. It was set in a graveyard overlooking the ocean. Just spectacular .
Now to Keogh's cafe! Just around the corner from the hotel was this cafe. Breakfast at the hotel was particularly bad the first morning so I decided not to do it again. Sunday morning on my way to Church I saw this little cafe and decided that I would come back there and have breakfast. I did. It was just delightful! The food was wonderful, the scones were delicious and different and the coffee was good and plentiful and the staff was very helpful and pleasant.
One aside to the day, and send a I said goodbye to the Romanians in Manchester hoping that I will see them again very soon .
